I've been using this for over a year now. My readings are always higher at the doctor's office, so I wondered about the accuracy of this machine. To me, my readings always made sense. I used to have very high blood pressure, and the high readings coincided with the headaches. These days, I'm in much better shape, but it was dropping low - especially after a cardio workout, and if I took a medication too soon afterward, the very low readings explained the strange feeling and blurred vision (when it got down to 110 or lower). I've kept good records of my numbers, and brought in spreadsheets for the doctor, who said my numbers looked awesome...but then on every visit, BP would be higher.
Not being one to just blindly take more meds with side effects (and I recently quit one), I had to settle a dispute. I took my monitor in, and we compared results. The first set of readings matched perfectly - systolic, diastolic, and even the pulse. We waited a few minutes, and tried again. The second readings were still extremely close - off by only 2-3 points (and closer to normal because they allowed me to sit for a few minutes). It proved that my BP is higher during an office visit (not concerned about that), but more importantly, it proved that my everyday normal readings are valid, so I can manage my health with confidence.
I saw another review by someone who tried this same experiment and got inaccurate readings. I can only report on my own experience, and this model seems very accurate. The nurse was quite impressed with it, and made a note of which model I have. The price has really dropped on this, too. I paid around $100 for mine just over a year ago, and then bought a second one last month as a gift for only $64.
Great B. P. Monitor. More Features That We'll Ever Use.
* Look out for Deceptive Sales Practices, (From Amazon), Not the B. P. Monitor Company.
* They'll try to Bundle this with a wall power adapter, Don't fall for it! It comes with the exact same power adapter that Amazon will try selling you.
Otherwise, it works as described, has more features than you'll probably use. Great Case, Easy to use too. Not sure why other reviews mention they have trouble understanding how to operate this monitor. It's really fairly easy. I read the directions within 5 minutes, set up the monitor within another 5 minutes and my Wife, (who is the person who really needs this), was using it within 15 minutes.
(By The Way), It's not the B. P. Monitor that was being deceptive. It is Amazon. When you look below the item, down to the left, Amazon shows you an area that reads something like: "People Who Bought This, Also Bought This Together". Then Amazon shows you 1 or 2 more items, including the item that you really want.
That is where Amazon placed the Extra Power Adaptor, which I bought, (thinking that the Monitor either didn't come with one, or was battery operated only).
Here Are The Facts: The Monitor is Battery Operated, and The Batteries Are Provided For You, Free, or Included With the Monitor. Plus, It Comes With a 120 Volt, A/C, Power Wall Adapter, Also Free. (There is "NO NEED" to buy an extra one, as Amazon will have you believe).
So, because of Amazons deceptive sales practices. My rating is only a 4 Star, for making me believe that I needed to buy extra, unneeded, items.
It's a shame that I have to take it away from the product, but I can't rate Amazon. So, hopefully the manufacturer of the Monitor will read this, (maybe even Amazon), and they will correct this habit. Yes, I've seen it in more than just this area.
So, Buy the Monitor, But Nothing Else.
5 Stars for the Monitor.
No stars for Amazons deception.
I had purchased this unit in 2015 to keep track of my blood pressure. My PCP was very happy that I was taking steps to log my levels and BPM every few days. I set the unit to do the 3 consecutive readings and logs the average. The monitor appears to be very accurate. My readings are very close the those of my PCP. He also had some standard units he provided, which were also Omron. Since this unit uses Bluetooth and syncs with the Omron Wellness app it made it very easy to take a few measurements and sync it up to my phone to share with my PCP. Initially it worked very well. Then my S5 OS updated overnight. I woke up to "Your phone was recently updated to improve performance and security". Little did I know at that moment my phone would no longer sync with my blood pressure monitor. After I found out I did a little research and found that I had to turn off the "Smart Network Switching". This worked for about a year until my phone once again had the dreaded update message. Unfortunately this time my phone would pair with the unit but failed to sync every time. I did some more research, deleted and reinstalled the app, changed some settings and all to no avail. It looked like my easy record keeping was over. I figured I had the unit for 2 years and it was definitely out of warranty so I would probably have to purchase the newer model and hope it worked. I didn't want to blame the unit since each time it failed to sync was right after my phone updated.
Well, here is where Omron Customer Service comes to the rescue. On Saturday I sent them an explanation about my issue and some steps I had take to try and correct it. On Monday I had an email asking for a few more details on my phone which I answered that night. The next day I received a call from Shanna at Omron Support. Since I didn't recognize the number and have had a zillion robo-calls I let it go to voice mail and forgot about it. Shanna once again called on Tuesday. This time I talked to her and she quickly explained the situation with my phone compatibility and the unit. She apologized for the inconvience and said she was processing a replacement and just needed to verify my current address. After verifying my address she said I should receive my new unit within 10 days. I was overjoyed. On Thursday my new unit showed up and has worked like a charm ever since. The unit has been great and the customer service has been amazing.
I was a little bit concerned about the negative feedback this Omron Blood Pressure Monitor got. However, I decided to trust the information from various comparative tests where this monitor made first place. It was packaged well and arrived with batteries and an AC adaptor in a very nice display box. Instructions are clear and easy to read. Came with a quick start manual as well as a detailed description. Setup was super easy. The Omron 10 can be connected to a smart phone using Omron's Wellnes App. Instruction was clear and it was easy to set up the phone and create an account. I like the possibility to take 3 readings in a row and use an average of the 3 measurements. The display is big and results are easy to read. Transfer to the smart phone is simple. The smart phone app displays the actual result as well as a daily, weekly or monthly graph. Allows 2 users to be set up. So far I am very pleased with this monitor. It seems to be the best monitor available in this price range. I purchased this monitor on Amazon.

Disclaimer: Please visit your own cardiologist to get their opinion. I am only reporting my own personal experience.
Before purchasing this, I visited my cardiologist and he told will there is 10% variance between these digital units and the tried and true manual cuff and stethoscope. That number is within the acceptable range according to what he told me. Now, even the high-end digital version at the Dr.'s office varies from the manual method for me. Therefore, the most important thing you need to do is immediately take your new unit to your Dr. and have them perform three readings with the manual method and three with your new unit. That will give you your variance range so when you take it at home you will have a true idea of what your readings mean. I performed this with my regular physician. Since we know the manual method is more accurate, this device is for people that want to take the readings themselves for home monitoring.
The unit itself has a very easy to view display. I like the memory feature and the switch for two users. You can simply scroll through the readings and not have to worry about writing them down. Battery life seems great so far having used it for many months and showing no signs of replacement being required.
I like this meter. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and while many complain about the app, I've not had any issues with it. It transfers the measurements perfectly and is easy to use. I read the app reviews (Omron Wellness) and was hesitant since I wanted not only an accurate meter but one that would allow for ease of logging for the measurements. The only reason I haven't rated this with 5 stars is that I've yet to compare the meter to a professional reading and I have a concern that it's measuring low. If it is low, it's consistently low. I checked it out on 3 other people and it seems low for them as well (10-20% low). I've tried the cuff placement in various positions on both arms with very consistent readings. If the readings show to be accurate, I'll adjust this rating accordingly. By the way, I have a 13" bicep in a resting state so I fall inside the specifications (as do the others I tested it on).
This is great device mostly because of the smartphone integration and results log available at your finger tips easy to transfer the readings and also email them to your doctor. Beats the one I purchased from costco although the reading are comparable. The wireless integration makes it awesome.
This blood pressure system (Omron 10 Series) works great, easily communicates with my iPhone via Bluetooth, and provides accurate readings. For those considering at home blood pressure measurement, be sure to follow the directions. You will get inaccurate readings if you don't sit properly, have both feet flat on the floor, and have your hand at the level of your heart. You do need to put the cuff on your arm properly. But all this is true for any monitor. This one provides me with very consistent measurement - roughly the same as the values in the doctor's office.
This is a nice upper arm BP monitor that is ranked by many website as the number one choice. Has some nice features such as synching with the smart phone app, ability to track history for two people, and battery or AC compatible.
Here are two cons. The unit is bulky and not travel friendly. Not something that I would take to the restaurant since my spouse requires close monitoring of BP level. My biggest complaint however is the sleeve with the pre-formed cuff. For users with larger arms, this may not be an issue, but for my wife with a small upper arm, it has a tendency to shift and spin around while you are trying to wrap and secure it. I think a completely flexible cuff is easier to handle regardless of arm size.
