This is literally the same product you'd get as the generic at most retail chains. Due to the complexity of manufacturing and certifying drugs, major chains don't make their own pills. They all buy pills from another company, typically one called Perrigo, and then attach their own label. These are Perrigo's pills, which are also what you'd probably find branded as Walgreens, CVS, Equate (Walmart), Kirkland Signature (Costco), Kroger, etc. The fact that so many major brands use Perrigo is a testament to their quality. They're an excellent substitute for branded drugs.

In this case, GoodSense is selling these with less markup than the retail brands, probably because they're not trying to cover the expenses of running a retail operation. So you get a good supply of reliable cetirizine pills at an excellent price.

Cetirizine is known to cause drowsiness for about 15% of people who take it, based on the original Zyrtec approval studies. This is why some of the reviews complain of drowsiness, and others do not. I don't find that certizine makes me drowsy, so this is a good option for me. If you have trouble with drowsiness, fexofenadine (Allegra) tends to have similar efficacy to cetirizine with a lower risk of drowsiness, but costs more. Loratadine (Claritin) also won't cause drowsiness and is slightly cheaper than cetirizine, but tends not to be as effective, at least in my experience. Nasal sprays such as triamcinolone (Nasacort) and fluticasone (Flonase) are also good options to consider along with or instead of an antihistamine for nasal symptoms in particular.

If you've been taking Zyrtec or generic cetirizine and want to take it regularly, buy this product.

Got allergies? We do. We are a household of two asthmatic, eczema-prone children and a highly allergenic, asthmatic dad. Add one cat (don't judge) and one crazy, obsessed mom, frantic to stop the wheezing, sneezing, and skin outbreaks on a daily basis. For many, many years we purchased Zyrtec and Claritin off the shelves of our expensive local pharmacy. For years we were broke. Along comes Good Sense with the good sense to produce a comparable, high-quality product for a measly $0.04 per pill via subscribe and save. I've been purchasing this product for almost 3 years now, so this review is most definitely tried and true. The kids get instant relief from this product without drowsiness or side effects, and it's a product we use year round. The pill is easy for a 9-year old and 11-year old to swallow. The bottle opening is baby/toddler proof but older kid approved (a simple push, twist.) We alternate (as recommended by our doctor) between this and Good Sense Loratidine (Claritin) to be sure our bodies aren't getting too used to one. It's really kind of crazy to try any thing else. You definitely won't find this quality and bang for your buck with other brands. Don't change a thing, Good Sense!

I bought this for my severe mosquito allergy so the bites won't wake me up at night, Works great so far and a BY FAR better price than anywhere else for the SAME EXACT active ingredients. The bottle came sealed in the box and the bottle had the metal seal too. Safe and reliable, get your years worth for the 30 day Zyrtec price!

I've waited a week to write this review so I could be sure my review would be 100 precent accurate. I suffer from chronic hives. When I say suffer I mean it! I take one of these each night and I'm itch and hive free. This is an amazing price for something that works the exact same as its higher priced competitors. Would recommend for hives.

I am someone who used to never have allergies, but for the past few years I have been miserable unless I could find OTC allergy medication. I used to buy everything from a brick and mortar store, but then I found that Amazon had their own brand and decided to give it a try. I haven't looked back since. The quality is on par with name brand or other generics, but at a fraction of the cost. I can now buy a year's worth of allergy medication for the same cost as what used to last me a month or two. I hope Amazon keeps adding to the products they carry.

I'm very thankful to have found out about this allergy medicine. This is the exact ingredient that is in leading brands. The leading and more expensive brands were doing the exact same thing for me. I'm now able to take the medicine that I need without paying the very high price.

I used to not ever have allergy problems. Only in the last 3 years have I started having the itchy eyes and runny nose through spring and part of summer. I don't even know what I'm allergic to, it's just something that blooms for a short period of time. It usually only lasts for about 4 weeks. I am so miserable during this time I had to take something. This cetirizine knocks all allergy symptoms away for 36 hours.

If I don't take this cetirizine I am unable to wear contacts from my eyes being so messed up. With the cetirizine I can continue wearing my contacts as normal. This is without using any drops or anything extra.

We've actually been experimenting around with this cetirizine 10mg. If we break the pill in half and take only 5 mg then the allergy symptoms are still gone for a period of 36 hours. Since half a pill does the same thing a whole pill does I've been taking half. Might as well take it easy on my body and use less, even though this medicine is not harmful in any way. I've been using this for 3 years now and have not had any side effects or issues from it.

I'm not going to bother posting a picture of the pill. You can see tons of pictures in other reviews. The pill is tiny and there is no concern of not being able to swallow it.

The cetirizine I get here on Amazon has an expiration date of 2019. This is well within date. They aren't selling some old out-of-date product. This is helpful for me since I don't take the medicine throughout the entire year. The 365 pills will last a while and the expiration date will let me use them over a couple of years. The bottle is sealed in a retail box and then foil is sealing the bottle itself under the child resistant lid. This is where I'll be purchasing this from now on.

If anything changes with this cetirizine I will definitely update this review. If you are reading this without an edit then it is still working on my allergy issue as I have described. Please feel free to ask any questions.

It did a decent job of keeping my sinuses from being congested (my main problem with seasonal allergies - I get a lot of sinus infections without allergy medication). However, I had so many side effects that I had to stop taking it :( It made me very drowsy, foggy-brained, all day long. It caused nausea, constipation (which led to bloating and decreased appetite), sore throat, fatigue, dry eyes, and some dizziness when I stood up too quickly.

I had been taking this every day for months, and didn't understand why I was so sick. I was glad not to have the puffy eyes and sinus symptoms I get from allergies, but I was feeling so terrible in other ways. I ended up forgetting to pack it on a trip I took, and after returning from my trip (a few days without the medicine), my allergy symptoms returned, but I felt fantastic. No more constipation, fatigue, or brain fog. I felt much more energetic and back to my normal self, and am really bummed I wasted so much time feeling sick because of this medication. I gave my boyfriend one of these when he had been sneezing and had itchy, watery eyes, and it helped his allergy symptoms right away, but he also got sleepy afterward and needed a nice, long nap. Overall, it seems like it works well for allergies, but drowsiness and other side effects occurred for us. I'm trying fexofenadine now, and so far I at least notice that I don't get the drowsiness.

I haven't compared this to any other brands of cetirizine, so I can't speak to that effect. I only took off one star, as I know the side effects won't be the same for everyone, and antihistamines in general can cause these side effects. I do wish the packaging would indicate largely on the front that it causes drowsiness, however, so people don't try to take this at work or when driving and get too tired. Especially that this is a 24-hour/all day med, I think it's important to be wary of the drowsiness.

I hope that helps! Good luck fighting off those allergies!! :)

Huge amount for a low price. My husband is allergic to most animal dander.. so of course he had to fall for me.. who loves animals and wants to open a rescue someday. After a few years of trying different things, this OTC allergy med mixed with a nasal spray allergy med, keeps him sniffle free, rash free, itch free, and sane. You can tell when he runs out though and keeps forgetting to buy himself more.. there is snot and hives.. it's gross. So not only is this huge bottle great, you can't beat the price! Maybe at Costco... Except I don't have a membership and that store gives me panic attacks. It's too big. So.. free shipping (with prime), large size, good price, comfort of doing it from your home and not having to deal crowd anxiety? Defo worth it.

This is the generic version of Zyrtec, and it is just as good as the name brand. By the way, I tried both Zyrtec and Claritin. Both are all-day antihistamines, but their chemistry is different, so they affect different people differently. For me, the Zyrtec (cetirizine) works better, but your mileage may differ, so try them both. I have a condition called atopic dermatitis, which means I sometimes get allergic reactions like a bug bite, only there was no bug. The cetirizine keeps this under control. It also controls hayfever and other allergic symptoms.

Of our household, 3 of us take these Cetirizine pills for allergies and I know they work, because if we skip or miss a dose, we all have our sinus problems return. The interesting thing is, two of us have runny noses without these pills and one has sinus congestion and headache pressure without them. I have no idea how a pill can fix BOTH problems, but believe me it can and does! We will never be without these pills in our house and the price-point here is cheaper per pill than anywhere else, including Walmart.

So I highly recommend. Buy them here, now and in bulk!
