It's been a few weeks since I got these, so I decided to review them. First let me say, I have an oily t zone. I thought I was doomed to wear wire framed glasses with nose pads because they were the only type of frames that stayed up. I took a chance and got a pair of plastic frames because I wanted a different look and all the sliding down my nose that I remember happened again. I love my frames, so I wanted a solution. I checked into getting a strap/retainer thing. kept putting it off, wasn't sure if I wanted to deal with the cord and stuff. These little temple tips showed up during one of my eyeglass retainer searches on Amazon. I'd never even heard of such a product before. They didn't cost alot and seemed easier to deal with than a band (since I don't take my glasses on and off), so I ordered this type and another brand. I didn't expect either to work. Only list product met my needs, of the two.
My frames kind of flare out at the very end, but these tips still went over them and stayed in place. They're not too big, or feel like I have something odd back there. I guess the only thing I'd mention is that you have to put on and take off your glasses a bit differently. Sometimes the back of my ears feel a touch tender after taking them off at the end of the day. But that tends to happen if I've worked back to back long days. Generally I don't notice anything but the fact that my glasses haven't slid down my nose. I also like that it doesn't interfere with the overall look of your frames (aka cramp your style). For the most part, they're covered by your ears. I plan on buying back ups. Happy camper.
Without fail, every single pair of plastic-framed glasses I own ends up slipping off of my face after a few weeks. Couple that with active sweat glands and you have the makings of a frustrating glasses-wearing life! I've tried a few things to remedy the problem. I used to get regular resizings until I just got frustrated. I also purchased a wax that you put on the bridge of the glasses to help it stick. None of that worked until this silicone holder.
Application couldn't be simpler: you put the stems of your glasses through the holes. Even at my sweatiest, these things did not fall off! I also barely feel them. However, over the course of a few weeks, these things became a little loose, and I had lost one during a trip to a museum. They don't exactly blend in, either. The utility of these anti-slip holders trumps any negative effect, though. And they're so cheap!
These are exactly what we needed for my toddler's glasses to stay on. He hated the strap, but doesn't mind these!
These will work perfectly if you have glasses with small arms. My daughters chunky plastic flames are not small. You can force them on with alot of work but they will only last a week or 2 maybe before they split open from the pressure. Not a knock on the product I was just using them for something they aren't intended for. My only other issue is if you have long hair they will get stuck in your hair making your glasses off sometimes. All that said they definitely keep your glasses where they belong!
This product will, without a doubt, do exactly what you want it to do- keep your glasses from slipping 99% of the time.
I recently switched to a new pair of glases that does not have the silicone pieces that sit on the bridge of the nose. Right away, I was forced to adjust (push them back into place) at least 70 times a day (no joke, I counted). The new glasses would slip at the slightest movement or if I perspired any little amount, or when my nose became greasy. The situation was incredibly intolerable- to the point I considered giving up on the glasses. I then did a ton of research on the various solutions even trying the heat shrink tubing method around the ear piece, after trying to place silicone grips on the nose piece. Neither worked and I almost melted my glasses trying to get heat shrink tubing to form to the earpiece. I spent about $30 on solutiuons and none worked.
I ran across the GMS product nearly by mistake. At first, I dismissed it, despite all the psoitive reviews. I wa svery wrong. This product is a total solution in my opinion. It fits over the earpiece easily and stays in place. It is completely adjustable. It will take some getting used to however. After about a week, you will forget they are in place and wonder how you lived without them for so long. If you want the glasses higher on your nose, you can adjust the product without even taking off the glasses. No one notices I am wearing them.
These will not work with every type of eyeglasses. For example, if your glasses are the slim wire type, or very slim plastic type, they will probably be a little too big. Also, every now and then you may want to remove them and clean your glasses to keep them from slipping. However, even when they do slip, they still keep glasses in place. Either way, I know adjust my glasses about 5 times per day at most, and I wear them all day.

I have one set of frames that is constantly sliding down my nose, changing how I look through the lenses. These seem to stay in place amazingly well, allowing my prescription to line up consistently. I’ve noticed a reduction in eye fatigue as a result. The only problem is that my frames are fitted, meaning they wrap around the backside of my ears. In order to properly place these adapters, I have to push them near the ends of the stems and they begin to turn horizontally and dig a little into the back of my ears after a full day. I think I am becoming less sensitive to that after a few days of wearing them, but they did get pretty sore the first day or two. They can also make putting your glasses on and taking them off awkward, especially if you have longer hair, but I also think I’m getting better at that as well.
Update 12/10/18:
After about a week or so of using these, my glasses were staying put but I noticed a constant headache. It went away when I didn't have my glasses on. I figured out it was the bottoms of these pressing on my ear (even though I didn't feel it), so I just cut the bottom
3/4" off. Now they work amazingly and I am headache free. I would suggest trying that if these give you any headaches.

My glasses were falling off my face. I got them adjusted, tried to get used to them, but no luck. I was about to give up and order new ones, when I decided to try this product out. What a difference!
I was a little nervous because other reviews said they didn't fit right, made their ears sore, or split open, but these are working perfectly for me. I adjusted them to my ears and I can't even tell they're on (besides for the fact that my glasses stay on!) I also saw people complaining that the temple tips got stuck in their hair... I have hair past my ears and I do not find this to be the case.
Putting my glasses on is a tiny bit longer now, but they stay put throughout the day. I rarely need to remove my glasses during the day, so this product is ideal for me.
I will update in a few months if I remember... I've been wearing these for 2 days now and loving them!
I have 540+ vision. I yearned for a way to take a yoga or pilated class or do a DVD and still be able to bend and twist and STILL be able to see the instructor AND keep my glasses on. I've always had them adjusted tighter than tight. And i didn't want to get those stupid wrap-around bands that make my curly hair look tortured and weird. (I also tried some odd silicone donut shaped earpiece things that were useless in a way that gives new definition to that word. I truly thought my quest to find something that wasn't dorky/stupid looking/useless was futile. THESE DO EXACTLY WHAT THEY PROMISE. ADJUSTABLE, THEY HOOK EFFORTLESSLY BEHIND MY EARS, YET I'M TOTALLY UNAWARE OF THEM! I just ordered 6 more because they're equally terrific on my delicate wire frames or my heavy plastic ones. AND I CAN PRETTY MUCH TURN UPSIDE DOWN WITHOUT THEM SLIDING/FALLING/SLIPPING. Sooooooo happpppyyyyyy!
I bought these for my husband so he wouldn't have to use his eyeglass strap anymore. I was very happy to find out they work perfectly and glasses and sunglasses stay put!
His job is very demanding and it's unsafe having to push up on his glasses all the time when they slide down or even fall off. Having his glasses re-adjusted doesn't work for long so adding these to the frames have worked out great!
They slide right onto the ear piece and you can push them forward or back to adjust the fit. He told me that at first they may feel uncomfortable but after a few minutes you'll forget they're even there. The black color blends in with his frames and look like the glasses when he's wearing them so nobody even knows they're there, unlike the hanging cord he used to use.
These won't fit glasses with thinner wire frames, so unfortunately I'm not able to purchase a set for myself, but for glasses with wider earpieces or sunglasses they work just fine.
These silicone temple hooks are decent. I've had a few pairs of them and they work very well. When I was in the Army, I was able to get both plastic frames and metal frames that had cable tipped temples. They're so hard to find now, and REC SPECS are more suitable for sports and maybe for some lab work in lieu of safety glasses or goggles. They don't look right for office jobs. My RX isn't very strong. I also have Progressive lenses, but when I add a sunclip, my glasses are constantly slipping down my nose. I work in technology and cannot keep pushing my eyeglasses up 100s of times per day. It's so annoying! These silicone hooks are a good alternative for cable temple glasses or conversion kits. Be careful though...if you slip the hooks over plastic temple covers, they will probably stretch out and won't shrink back and be too loose for your frame without the covers. Heat and a drop of water helps to stretch them out and make them easier to put on your frames. These hooks aren't super cheap (too expensive to be disposable IMHOp), but you can get 2 pairs in one order. They work for eye and sunglasses, metal or plastic frames. They do stretch out so once you put them on and like where you put them, leave them on there. Also, when you get adjustments or get new lenses, make sure you keep track of them or remove them. I've lost a few pairs because I got my lenses changed or frames repaired. The labs or techs didn't give them back to me. Great product!!! They're hypoallergenic for me and my family too!
