Okay—so here’s the scoop on this steamer: If you don’t let it cool a bit between fills, it will spit and sputter when you try to use it the second time. You have to physically touch the fabric (like ironing) for it to take wrinkles out—at least for heavy items such as drapes. Don’t tilt the thing even a little or it will begin to spit water. You must keep it completely upright. I expected it to be an immediate wrinkle releaser, but it took a few refills to get the wrinkles out of my drapes—but they are heavy fabric. I’m thinking clothes will be a lot easier. I like it. It’s a heck of a lot better than dragging out an ironing board. Easy to fill and heats up super fast. It’s worth having for sure.
I bought this because I don't have an iron and I don't like to iron. I tried on a cotton skirt that was very wrinkled from being packed for mailing. A couple of sessions with the steamer took out the wrinkles nicely. For more minor wrinkles probably would need to fill the steamer up once. Be careful, though, I almost spilled some hot water on my leg.
I ordered this steamer for the sole purpose of blocking my knitting and crocheting. I'm sure it works well for clothes, but it's excellent for the reason I'm using it! I pinned my shawl to a blocking board first, to get it to the shape I needed. Then I passed the steamer over it (about half an inch from the shawl) to get the yarn to relax to maintain the shape. The yarn I used was a bamboo/silk blend. Perfection! I would highly recommend this steamer :)
I absolutely love this product and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. It is such a nice size and very convenient for traveling (I take mine everywhere I go). It is so simple to use, the instructions tell you exactly how to use it. I have found that this gets wrinkles out of all of my clothes (I use it every morning as one would an iron), and I have even used it on heavier canvas materials and it has done a fairly decent job on those as well. It heats up very quickly as well, so I just leave mine plugged in all the time and when I wake up, I simply turn it on and go. The only downside at all to this steamer is that you must hold it upright when you are using it. If you tilt it downwards, the water will leak out, so it is best to put your clothing on a hanger in front of you so that this is not an issue. Overall though, I absolutely love this product and would recommend it to ANYONE!
Item arrived nicely packaged and on time. The unit is easy to fill with water and to use. It does produce a good amount of steam in a very short period of time and did a good job on the clothing. Due to its size and weight it was no problem traveling with it. Very good purchase so far.

I am very pleased with the results from the Meili fabric steamer. I did not need a mitt or fabric heat backer, I just read the instructions and used common sense. I used it for steaming my daughter's white satin wedding dress, which I hung from the shower rod and proceeded to do the job. The product was attractively designed, simple to use, and would be small enough to fit in a suitcase for travel, along with its nice travel bag. It did the job and the price was great too. I used distilled water. At first it did have a little splatting when it started up but if you wait a few minutes that will subside and it did not leave a mark on the dress when it dried. I also almost bought another steamer at the state fair (which I did not buy) before finding this product and it was marketed at $90, so the price for this product was great and I am happy with its performance. It arrived on the day that they said it would.
I don't iron much, but this fills the ticket. Inexpensive, light and easy to use. Heats up very quickly. If it starts to get mineral buildup in it, just run some 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar through it and the problem will be solved.
Works well for getting some stubborn wrinkles out of my dress shirts for work that are polyester crepe. Small, so It doesn't take up a lot of room. Easy to use. Nice!
I've been wanting to have a better way to get my work clothes ready other than ironing. This fit the bill! Nice and small, one filling will steam a whole outfit! Haven't traveled with it yet but it's small enough to not take much space in my carry-on.
This steamer works very well on all sorts of fabrics. Make sure to follow the instructions so as not to scald yourself with hot water, or create problems with the heating element because of high mineral concentrations in the water that you fill it up with. It is recommended to use distilled, or purified water no matter where you live, so that there is minimal mineral buildup on the heating element. I have recommended this product to others. Several spots do get hot, but use your best judgment as you handle it so as to not experience any problems with the heat, or steam that emanates from the heating element/steam nozzle.
