I purchased these Utopia wash cloth towels as well as the 24 pack Royal wash cloths. If you are trying to decide between the two like I was I will do a bit of comparing for you. Just remember neither are $10 a piece wash cloths. The Royal appeared better sewn before washing but had quite a few fraying areas when they came out of dryer. They also dropped more lint than the Utopia cloths but both were pretty bad in this area. Royal cloths have tiny spots that look like rust in many places and spots didn't come out even after washing with bleach. Royal cloths also shrunk more around the edges so they don't look as nice as the Utopia ones after drying. For $.50 a piece I'm quite happy with the Utopia wash cloths. Better than equivalent priced one's at Walmart. They are not thick which is what I wanted and still seem soft enough for delicate skin. I like to use a new wash cloth each time I wash my face. So the Utopia ones are great I don't have to worry about ruining my expensive wash cloths from excessive repeated washings. They don't take up much room in the washer and dry quickly. Will most likely purchase them again.
I like them! We are using them as paper towel replacements. They are not as soft as a standard bathroom hand towel but definitely softer than shop towels/rags. The stitching around the perimeter seems of good quality and over a few washes they haven't fallen apart at the edges like some "value" washcloths we've purchased.
No real complaint, other than if you're looking for something more utility or shop rag type, skip these. These would probably snag easily.
Also, as with any new cotton product like this: wash two or three times before use and still expect it to give up a lot of material in the dryer's lint catch.
Nov 2017 update: Still happy with them! Get a loose string every once in awhile but have held up very well.
Sept 2018 update: Still going strong! We've probably washed our batch of towels every two weeks.
This towels are great for the price. I haven't used them for a long time yet. Probably about 2-3 washes to date.
Pros - soft to the skin and easy to clean. I use this to clean my face of make-up. I noticed that when I get make-up on it, I will just hand wash it with bath soap and water, it washes the make-up right off. Unlike some face towels I bought before, I have to wash them in hot water and clorox in the washing machine to get those make-up stain.
Cons - nothing much except that some of the edges are frayed, but can be cut with scissors. No big deal.
I keep these in a large jar on my kitchen counter to use for "clean" wiping - water off hands, drying off veggies & fruits, etc. It has cut our use of paper towels way down. Yay. They are sturdy and work well. I do wash them separately w/hot water & bleach to keep them nice and white.
I love these washcloths! This is my third order of them. They last well, but I'm tough on washcloths. When I first buy an order I use them for my face and body, as one would. The texture of these is perfect for exfoliating, and that's what I look for in a washcloth. Yes, I could buy expensive ones that feel like silk... but they won't get my face as clean, nor will they get rid of that rough winter skin. These do!
But, as with any washcloths, after a year of laundering they'll start showing signs of age. After that, I move them to my cleaning rotation.
It's important to use white cloths when cleaning upholstery, carpet, or clothing stains so you don't transfer dyes from the cloth to whatever you're cleaning. The thickness and nap of these make them brilliant for cleaning. And the price? It's fantastic.

I didn't think it would be possible to be blown away by the lowly wash-cloth but wow. These are durable, soft and substantial. I also noticed that the edges have a solid hem to them, these should go quite a long time before becoming unraveled like so many cheap/cheaper washcloths do. The only "negative" to these is that your lint trap will be fuller than usual the first 2 or 3 times you wash these.
With 24 in one pack, I threw out (made rags) out of my old washcloths and use these exclusively now, no regrets.
Definitely highly recommended.
These are an incredible deal. I love having a lot of washcloths so that I always have a clean one for my face or the shower. Price makes them almost disposable which is great in a pinch. No need to buy fancy more expensive wash cloths unless for some reason you want to hang them with their matching towels and never use.
Since wash cloths don't have to be absorbent or do anything else but provide a textured surface to cleanse with, these are perfectly suited for that purpose. I would not want towels to dry with made of this material but they are great in terms of always having a clean wash cloth.
I've been buying cheap face cloths from local stores for years as an alternative to the ridiculous price of paper towels. The price on these was lower than what I generally paid every few years for the cheapies found at the big chain stores. These are thicker and much higher quality than what I was used to; better made and more absorbent. I wouldn't use them for showering myself, but for kitchen clean-ups, dusting, etc for the price they can't be beat.
Still using the first 12 of the original 24 pack (12 are still in storage) for kitchen/dusting duty, and while I can't say they look brand new, they don't look bad for rough duty after two years. Stitching has held up fine and they don't appear frayed on the edges. Yeah, there are pulls, but who cares? Compare to the cost of a 12pack of Bounty...
I was very pleased with these washcloths. I made the mistake years ago of purchasing "spa" quality towel sets. I thought thickness meant quality. Thickness only means heavy and difficult to use as far as I'm concerned, plus it took forever for them to actually become absorbent.. I'm still using the towels, but I gave up on the washcloths years ago. They were too thick. These washcloths are soft, fluffy and usable. I really like them. I threw them all in the wash as soon as they came. Only one or two came out of the dryer with a stray thread showing, so I'm not sure about some complaints on that matter. If the ends start to come undone, I will break out my sewing machine and spend a few minutes reinforcing the seams. No big deal. And even if I didn't want to spend the time doing that, the price is so good, they could be replaced yearly. I got 24 for less than one of my "spa" quality washcloths that I can't force myself to use. I will be ordering more in the future I'm sure.
For the price of these, you really can'tbeat them. However, I do have to say that after a couple months of regular use, there is some clear fraying on several of them. That is by no means to say you shouldn't purchase these, only that you should be aware they aren't as durable as some of the more expensive options.
Overall we don't have any major complaints. They hold up perfectly fine to normal use, washing, and even bleach. We had previously bought some more expensive washcloths, but they started to discolor. After switching over to these, even if we have to replace some after a while due to the fraying, it's still significantly cheaper than going with premium washcloths.
