Our family normally buys Charmin but one day on Amazon a recommendation came up for Presto. Obviously nobody wants "gas station" type toilet paper so I was a bit hesitant to purchase it. I have 2 adults and 3 kids in my household so that's an earful of something as important as tp is not liked.
Amazon has never disappointed so I figured give it a try and worst case save them for "emergencies" in the future (but sense we use Amazon subscribe and save its rare we run out of anything).
Well I told my wife I bought it and she was less than pleased to say the least and said to cancel the order. We'll I decided not to cancel and I'm glad that was the decision. Upon receiving it, the packaging is very professional and without the bargain type look to it. The tissue itself in my opinion is in discernible from any other major QUALITY brand and may even be better. I added the first tool and didn't tell and of the family and guess what? Nobody said a thing. I even tried to get negative comments by saying "I blew my nose and whatever tp that is, is horrible" my wife commented back "Its the normal charmin ultra stuff". So in short is very easily past the test. The mega rolls are very large. Our in wall dispenser holds them just fine but if you have a small dispenser you may need to by the non mega roll. The girls in the house loved the flower design. My one Daugherty said "it's pretty". The paper has no negative comments I can think of and as long as it remains in Stock and at a good price I see no reason we will be changing back and I really encourage you to buy it and try it.
I look forward to trying more amazon branded products because this tissue is great quality for sure.
I pee about a million times a day and need sensitive toilet paper that lasts a long time and is cost effective. I was intrigued to find out Amazon now had its own variety of toilet paper and I can say after giving it a try for 2 months, I am extremely impressed. I typically purchase Angel Soft, Charmin Ultra Soft, or Cottonelle brand tp. Angel Soft is cheap and 1 roll usually lasts me a day. Charmin is a step up from that and the rolls usually last me 1.25 days, but is more expensive. Cottonelle has the best material of the three and is absorbent, but is also the most expensive and lasts me 1.5 days. All in all, I spend a lot of money on toilet paper every month. Therefore, I needed something better and more cost effective.
Amazon Presto has it all. It is extremely cost effective. One of these rolls lasts me at least 2 days and the material is super soft and absorbent. I am really happy and won't go back to those other brands. Now if Amazon could only make flushable wipes the world would be a better place...
UPDATED 5/18: Needed more toilet paper and could only think of one brand to buy. My husband even stated that he loves Presto too and was impressed by how long-lasting and soft it was.
Update: So in my original review I said we weren't picky about our toilet paper. Well we are now. We must have had a busy month because we ran out of the Presto! So my husband bought Charmin Ultra Strong. I don't think I've ever been so sad about having to use a certain kind of toilet paper. I didn't realize how think the sheets of Pretso! were until we had to use the paper thin Charmin. It's safe to say we are obsessed with the Presto!
I read most of the reviews and questions before adding to my Subscribe and Save orders. Was a little leery because it's only $20 for 24 rolls but I thought why not what can it hurt. Our household isn't to picky about toilet paper. We just want it to be soft and hold up while using it. I saw all the pictures of the size of Presto but was still surprised how large the rolls are when I opened the package. In the picture Presto is on the left and Cottonelle is on the right. So far I haven't seen any dusting from Presto. Normally I find a lot in the packaging but there was very minimal dusting. So far we are extremely happy with it and will stay subscribed to it.
Excellent toilet paper for home use as the material is very strong yet soft. One of the best toilet paper I've used thus far
Going to compare this to Charmin Ultra Soft as it's the one I've been using those regularly before trying out this product.
Charmin is half a inch wider, but Presto has a larger roll
Presto is slightly thicker and better tear resistance. You will not notice a huge difference unless you compare them side-by-side, like how some people can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p HD displays. When compared to public toilet paper, it's a night-and-day difference.
Both have the same amount of softness. Both are soft, but i'd say Charmin is a bit silkier and fingers flow across it smoother, while the Presto is still soft, but slightly more durable.
I'd say if you tend to have moist or wet feces (maybe due to diarrhea?) I'd say Charmin does a better job, but for more dry droppings Presto is the way to go
Overall, high quality toilet paper. Will i be switching over? Depends on which one goes on sale or able to get at a cheaper price.
First I thought, "Amazon toilet paper, ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!" Then I thought I would read the reviews to flush out the truth. After reading all the good reviews, I thought; well maybe it's actually good. So, I took the plunge and ordered some. Yes, I was very pleasantly surprised upon receiving my order. Like others have pointed out, the rolls are big and the sheets are thicker than most others. And yes, they do the job very nicely, and one can use less paper, thus, saving even more bucks.
So, okay Mr. Whipple, it looks like I will stop squeezing Charmin now, because I have fallen in love with a new main squeeze.

Description
Presto! Ultra-Soft Toilet Paper offers great softness with the strength you need. This septic-safe bath tissue leaves less lint behind versus the leading ultra-premium soft brand, based on laboratory testing. Each mega roll lasts 4X longer than a regular roll of toilet paper (based on a regular roll with 77 sheets). Presto! Ultra-Soft Toilet Paper is PEFC certified and made with pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources.
This toilet paper is not a good value. You can buy Scott toilet paper from Jet or Walmart for twenty dollars for thirty rolls which comes out to 66 cents per roll, whereas this toilet paper costs twenty dollars for twenty four rolls which comes out to 85 cents per roll. Scott toilet paper weighs 6.4 ounces and Presto toilet paper weighs 4.8 ounces. At 66 cents for 6.4 ounces, Scott toilet paper costs about 10 cents per ounce, whereas Presto toilet paper costs about 18 cents per ounce at 85 cents for 4.8 ounces. You get a lot more for your money with Scott toilet paper. I recommend that you buy Scott toilet paper from Jet or Walmart to save money and get the most for your money.
The best bang for the buck toilet paper on Amazon. The rolls are HUGE. One roll lasted me two weeks in my private bathroom. I don't poo every other day either, paper gets used if you catch my drift. Buy with confidence.
Imagine if you will, an exclusive "club" where main benefit is the privilege of spending your Saturdays navigating through hoards of oversized SUVs in a crowded parking lot, then negotiating battleship-sized shopping carts up and down runway-sized aisles, and then having to stand in one of 50 ultra-long lines in order to spend several hundred dollars. The prize at the end of this ordeal is a $1.50 rancid meat hotdog with carbonated syrup water at a filthy picnic table, elbow-to-elbow with the same lummox that earlier parked his cart sideways across an entrance to an aisle in order to patiently wait for a booger-sized sample of Cheez Whiz on 1/16th of a soda cracker. Don't forget to wait in line to have an employee lightly glance at your receipt and imprint it with their Sharpie.
Now imagine that this "club" recently increased their membership dues.
So when it came time for our family to renew our dues, we questioned the value we were getting...Pretty much the only reason we shopped there was for non-perishables, since any of the food we'd purchase there would expire before we'd had a chance to eat it all, contributing to the growing food waste epidemic on our country.
For what its worth, the club's $18 warehouse pallet of Toilet Paper was good quality at a great price. You can certainly buy more than you need, it won't go to waste.
I think that Amazon's Presto is the answer to that, the Ultra Strong is soft, durable, and doesn't leave bits behind on your behind. The rolls are large, so changing them out is less frequent. We buy it on Subscribe and Save for the discount, though dollar-for-dollar we're still getting about 5000 less sheets than the club's version...
But all of that is worth it, because now we have our Saturdays back.
Thank you Amazon!! This is now officially my favorite toilet tissue ever. Super thick and soft, that you barely even need to use a few squares per potty visit. I have been diehard on contonelle but now that I've tried this I will be ordering it whenever I'm out of tp. The rolls are HUGE! For me this is a good thing. May post a problem for those that have fixed toilet paper holdings onto the wall. I have a free standing f holder so this doesn't much effect me. I have really long nails and this toilet paper does not rip when I wipe. Definitely would recommend.
We like this tissue paper. It is soft and strong with 3 ply. The mega rolls last a long time. I also noticed there is no lint with this brand. Will reorder and recommend. Oh yea, price is really good!
